Product Detail	Laminin binds to cells through high-affinity receptors. During embryonic development, it mediates cell attachment, migration, and organization into tissues by interacting with other extracellular matrix components. It is involved in the organization of the laminar structure of the cerebral cortex. It may be necessary for the integrity of the basement membrane/glial cell boundary, which serves as an anchor point for the ends of radial glial cells and a physical barrier for migrating neurons. Radial glial cells play a central role in cerebral cortex development; they are both the proliferative units of the cerebral cortex and the scaffolds for neurons migrating to the pial surface.
