Introduction: Stem cell factor (SCF) is a kind of hematopoietic growth factor that plays an active role in early hematopoietic production. SCFS stimulate the proliferation of myeloid, erythroid, and lymphoid progenitors in bone marrow culture and act in concert with colony-stimulating factors. SCF plays an important role in hematopoiesis, spermatogenesis and melanin production. It also promotes mast cell adhesion, migration, proliferation and survival.
