This series of products are used for the identification of animal-derived ingredients based on the sequence differences among species in the cytochrome oxidase subunit b (cytb) gene of mitochondrial DNA.

The detection limit of DNA is 0.001 ng/μl.

This kit does not produce non-specific amplification for specimens of pig, sheep, horse, donkey, chicken, duck, goose, and rabbit.

 

Product Introduction

This kit utilizes a pair of specific primers for bovine mitochondrial DNA, along with a specific fluorescent probe. It employs heat-resistant DNA polymerase (Taq enzyme), four deoxyribonucleotide triphosphates (dNTPs), and other components. It applies PCR technology to amplify the conserved genes of bovine mitochondrial DNA. At the same time, it detects mitochondrial DNA in the sample through an external standard method.

Reagents and Supplies to be Prepared by the User

1. 1.5ml centrifuge tubes
2. Pipettes and tips (to avoid contamination between samples, please use pipette tips with filters)
3. Disposable gloves, protective equipment, and paper towels
4. Benchtop microcentrifuge (compatible with rotors for 1.5ml and 2ml centrifuge tubes)
5. Vortex mixer
6. ABI7000, ABI7500, or other similar fluorescent quantitative detectors.

Preparation Before Use

1. Sample Processing (Sample Processing Area)

Strictly follow the instructions provided in the viral nucleic acid purification kit for sample processing.

2. Amplification Reagent Preparation (Pre-PCR Preparation)

Remove the PCR master mix and Taq enzyme from the kit. Allow them to thaw at room temperature, mix well by vortexing, and briefly centrifuge.
