Product Introduction:

The Warthin-Starry method of silver staining of spirochetes was used by Warthin and Starry in 1920 to visualize spirochetes. The principle of staining is that the mucin on the surface of the spirochete binds specifically to the silver and appears black. The stain has a clear contrast and can be stored for a long time, but it is cumbersome and time-consuming to perform.

Spirochete Bacteria Silver Staining Kit (Warthin-Starry Method) can show spirochetes, Helicobacter pylori, Coccidioides catarrhalis, Sclerotium nasutum, fungi, nerve fibers, and melanin granules. Solepol recommends the use of this kit for the diagnosis of chronic gastritis and peptic ulcer and the judgment of treatment effect as a staining method to identify H. pylori when the methylene blue method is poor.
