Product Detail	Serine/threonine protein kinase functions in various different signaling pathways, including cytoskeleton regulation, cell migration, or cell cycle regulation. It plays a role in dendritic spine morphogenesis as well as synapse formation and plasticity. It acts as a downstream effector of the small GTPases CDC42 and RAC1. Activation upon binding of active CDC42 and RAC1 leads to a conformational change and subsequent autophosphorylation of several serine and/or threonine residues. It phosphorylates MAPK4 and MAPK6 and activates the downstream target MAPKAPK5, which is a regulator of F-actin polymerization and cell migration. Additionally, it phosphorylates TNNI3/troponin I to regulate the calcium sensitivity and relaxation kinetics of thin filaments.
