Brief introduction:Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a potent growth and angiogenesis cytokine. It stimulates endothelial cell proliferation and survival, promotes angiogenesis and vascular permeability. VEGF is expressed in vascularized tissues and plays an important role in normal and pathological angiogenesis. A large amount of evidence has shown that VEGF is involved in tumor metastasis and the occurrence of intraocular neovascularization syndrome.
