IL-1α, Human;Recombinant Human Interleukin-1 alfa

Molecular weight: ≈18KD Background: interleukin-1 (IL-1) is a cytokine produced by multiple leukin-1 cells in the context of infection and inflammation. It has a wide range of biological functions, including mediating inflammatory response, regulating immunity, and regulating metabolism. The molecular weight of IL-1 is 17.5KD, and there are two types: IL-1α and IL-1β, mainly IL-1β. interleukin-1 receptor (IL-1R) includes type Ⅰ and type Ⅱ, and interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1ra or IL-1γ) also exists. IL-1ra can bind to IL-1 receptor, but does not cause corresponding action.Interleukin-1α (IL1α), also known as IL-1a, IL1, IL1-α, IL1f1, is a cytokine in the interleukin-1 family. IL-1α is produced by epithelial cells. It is found in large numbers in normal epidermis and distributed in a ratio of 1:1 between living epidermal cells and stratum corneum. The gene that encodes this protein is on human chromosome 2. IL-1α is a pro-inflammatory cytokine produced by activating monocytes, lymphocytes, and epithelial cells. IL-1α is synthesized as an activated precursor protein, which appears to be cleaved and activated into a mature protein by cytoplasmic protease. Typically, precursor and mature IL-1α remain primarily intracellular rather than being excreted by constitutive secretion. Il-1α signal transduction makes IL-1α bind to IL-1 helper protein (IL-1-ACP); The complex then binds to IL-1RI. Signal transduction is performed by activating MAP kinase and NF-κB pathway. IL-1α also binds to IL-RII, which lacks intracellular signal transduction domains and is therefore a high-affinity decoy receptor. IL-1R antagonist (IL-1Ra) inhibits IL-1α activity and binds to IL-1R1, but does not signal transduction. IL-1α has been shown to be a key regulator of virus-induced inflammatory responses in mice.Alias: IL-1α, IL-1A, IL1 alpha, IL1-alpha, IL1, IL1A, IL1F1, interleukin-1 alpha, Interleukin; Recombinant Human Interleukin-1 alphaPhysical properties and indexes:Appearance: ……………… White loose bodySolubility: …………… water: 100ug/mlPotency: ……………… 1 x 109 iu/mgPurity: ……………… > 98% Storage condition: -20℃, avoid light, damp, sealed and dryBiological activity:Interleukin-1α (IL1α) has a wide range of metabolic, physiological and hematopoietic activities, and plays an important role in the regulation of immune response. It binds to the interleukin-1 receptor [3] Healthy epidermal keratinocytes produce large quantities of interleukin-1α precursors that interfere with the important role of interleukin-1α in immune responses, assuming that the skin acts as a barrier to disease-causing microorganisms from entering the body. In vitro, interleukin-1α has biological effects on cells from the cuticle to the femur. In the body, IL-1α activates a number of immune system processes shortly after infection with an organism.
