Pathogenic nematodes can be directly picked up with needles， separated with funnels， or crushed and separated from diseased tissues to obtain live nematode bodies. In order to identify common nematodes and conduct general observations on their morphology and structure， temporary slides can be made using live nematodes. To further observe and understand their taxonomic characteristics， live nematodes need to be killed and fixed， and sometimes stained， to make permanent slide specimens.

The Nematode Routine Dehydration Reagent Ⅱ of Solarbio mainly consist of glycerol and alcohol. It should be used in conjunction with the Nematode Routine Dehydration Reagent I. It takes 12-18 hours to complete the entire process of nematode fixation and sealing; Nematodes can be used for long-term preservation after fixation and dehydration. This reagent is only used in the field of scientific research and is not suitable for clinical diagnosis or other purposes.
